Schön! Magazine

I love museums more than any place on Earth. Some of my most at peace moments have been inside museums, from the Blanton to the Louvre. Nothing compares to the connection you have when you stand in front of a painting and become submerged. These images spoke to me particularly. It is not common to have modern editorials calling upon 17th century art works like this one does so subtly. The last image of course was inspired by Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring, but the other images as well showcase the brilliance that was Dutch artistry in the 1600's.
